The Chess in Lakecity club organised its Summer Cup fide rated tournament (below 1600 category) at the beautiful Udaipur city from 13th to 15th June 2017. More than 475 players from Rajasthan, MP, Delhi, Punjab, UP, Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, AP, Karnataka, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka and West Bengal besides Singapore participated in the three days nine round event. The time format of the tournament was 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment for each move to each player.
Fifteen year old Dhruv Dak of the host club Lakecity was the top seeded player of the tournament with a rating of 1594, followed by Arun Kumar of Punjab. The second round saw the tumbling of the top seed at the hands of Suryavanshi BL and fifth seed Gaha Narayan of UP was held to a draw by young Deepak Kataria of Rajasthan. Young players had no respect for (higher rated) seniors and there were upset galore in each and every round. Sixteen players led with four points each at the end of the fourth round.
The lead was narrowed down to four players after five rounds – Arun Kumar, Ankit Chudasama of Gujarat, Gaurav Jain of Rajasthan and Shrivstav Hritik of MP. In the sixth round, Ankit accounted for Arun and Gaurav beat Hritik, to share the lead with full 6 points. Four new players were trailing the leaders by half point. Ankit defeated Gaurav and was the only player to register seven wins in a row. Sheth Shemal Ketan of Gujarat prevailed over Arun Kumar to move into sole second spot with 6.5 points. Sixteen players were on the third position after the completion of seven rounds. In the penultimate round, Ankit Chudasama continued his relentless march to record one more win to score 8/8. Seven players - Babel T Divyanshu and Naman Porwal of Chess in lakecity Rajasthan, Hritik Shrivatsav and Eshaan Chandrol of MP, Amar Joyti Kakoti of Assam, Jitendra Mahale of Maharashtra and Tarun Kumar Singh of UP were behind him by one full point.
Chudasama Ankit suffered his first loss in the tournament at the hands of fifteen year old Babel. Eshaan, Tarun Kumar and Naman also scored victories to tie with Ankit and Babel for the top honours with 8 points each. Tiebreaks favoured Ankit Chudasama to bag the title and Babel won the second place. Ankit received Rs.30000/- and Babel Rs.20000/-. Sri. Chandra Singh Kotari, Mayor of Udaipur City was the chief guest for the final day function. Sri. Pramod Ji Samar and Sri. Chanchal Agarwal were the guests of honour. 1st SL Mangrudiya FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2017 was organized by Chess in Lakecity under the aegis of All Rajputana Chess Association, from 30thMarch to 4thApril, 2017. at Sahu Samudaik Bhavan, Udaipur. The Total Number of participants were 330 including 3 IM, a current Asian Senior Champion. GM Norm holder IM Wazir Ahmed Khan also one of the participants. The total tally of rated players were 226. The tournament was inaugurated at the hands of Shri. Chandra Singh Kothari , Mayor Udaipur. Other guests present on the dais were Prem Singh Shaktawat ,Shri. Pankaj Mangrudia, Devendra Sahu, Rajendra Bordia, Narayan Lal Sharma, Rajeev Bhardwaj, President Chess In lakecity and IA Swapnil Bansod, Chief Arbiter. After the inaugural function the technical meeting was arranged. All the tournament regulations were discussed and finalized in the meeting, including the shifting of venue for all the remaining rounds after the round 1. Second Seed IM Vikramaditya Kulkarni of Rlys, clinched the title of the tournament. He beat Sing Soram Rahul of Assam in the last round of the tournament to score 9 points out of maximum 9. Vikramadityawon all his games and scored a perfect 9. At the end of 5th round Vikramaditya, IM Himanshu Sharma and Atul Dahale leading the tournament with 5 points each. In 6th round game Vikramaditya beat Himanshu and crushed himanshu’s 2500 live rating dream. IM Himanshu Sharma, the top seed of tournament, finished 2nd with 8 points.He lost his only game to IM Vikramaditya Kulkarni. Vinod Sharma of Rlys, Jay Kundaliya of GUJ and Bhavdat Anand of AP scored 7.5 points each and finished in 3rd to 5th. positions respectively. The prize distribution function of 1st SL Mangrudiya FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2017 was held on 4thApril, 2017 at 3 pm at Sahu Samudaik Bhavan, Udaipur. In the Lake city Udaipur, the tournament attracted total number of 287 entries all over state of India and 4 other countries ( USA , Canada , Srilanka& Nepalalso participated,in which 5 International Master, 1 WFM , 1 AGM,1AFM, 211-Rated Players & 76 Unrated players & 31Girls playersplayed. The event is been conducted by 10 Rounds Swiss league system, with the time control of 90 min plus 30 sec increment from move No.1, Daily two round ( Except 2 days 1 rounds) The Total prize money of the event is Rs.6,00,000 with First Prize of Rs.60,000 for the winner of the tournament. The talented young and Senior players from All over India and another 4 countries had participated for 4thN.L.Pandiyar fide rating tournament to snatch the total prize money of Rs.6,00,000/- .Hard fought victories and some draw witnessed in the tournament. At the end of the 10 Round the ultimate winner is Akshat Khamparia of MP and the runner up title won by Avdhoot Lendhe of Maharastra. Fourth International Nandlal Pandiar Memorial FIDE Rating Open Chess Championship concluded today. the tournament was hosted by Chess in Lakecity, with cooperation from the Maharana of Udaipur, Lions Club, All Rajputana Chess Federation and All India Chess Federation and under auspices of the World Chess Federation. Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony. Eminent attendees viz. Social Activist VK Lahadiya; chaired by Phool Singh Meena; Dinesh Bhatt; Prem Singh Shaktawat; William DSouza, Principal of St Anthony School, Udaipur, Rajeev Bhardwaj, Chairman of Chess in Lake City; Rajesh Sharma and AC Joshi gave away the prizes to the winners in the competition. As per the ruling of Chief Judge of the competition, AC Joshi, Akshat Kampariya, Avdyut and Krishan Soni took the first, second and third place respectively in the General Category. For players with FIDE Rating 2000 and below, Ali Sayyed Nasir, Jay Kundaliya and Maulik Raval took the first three spots respectively while in the Under 1600 FIDE Rating category Pankaj Bosre, Nakul Chaudhary and Pratap Solanki were the top three.

Secretary, Chess in Lakecity Vikas Sahu informed that after two rounds, the final winners were announced to be Lakecity’s Bhavesh Pandiyar (boys’ category) and Jaipur’s Yashavi Gupta (girls’ category) of Under-15 ARCA Chess Championship. The chief guest of the award ceremony held thereafter were Dr. Shailendra Somani, Director of MDS School, Dr. Om Sahu, Vice President of Chess in Lakecity. According to judge Yogesh Hingad, the winners of boys’ category were Bhavesh Pandiyar, Prabhav Maheshwari, Naan Porwal, Chinmay Jain, Divyanshu Babel, Vandan Lodha, Jodhpur’s Ajitpal Bhati, Arun Kataria, Kunal Chabbra, Vedant Sharma, Raj Kumawat, Jaipur’s Mehul Gupta, Kushal Patel, Tushar Chaudahry and Mudit Kukreti who stood from first to fifteenth position, respectively. In the girls’ category, the winners from first to fifth respectively, were Yashasvi Gupta, Hiral Chatwani, Akshi Chatwani, Gunjan Lodha and Purva Nainawa. All the winners received cash prize and certificates to the participants.
The ARCA Under-15 Chess Championship commenced today at MDS Public School. This event is organized by Chess in Lakecity with All Rajputana Chess Association. Chess in Lakecity Secretary Vikas Sahu informed that the event was inaugurated by MDS Principal Nidhi Maheshwari. On the first day, Divyanshu Babel leaded after the second round. According to judge Yogesh Hingad, the winners after the 3 rounds were Prabhav Maheshwari, Bhavesh Pandiyar, Raj Kumawat, Kushal Patel, Arun Kataria, Pallav Chaudhary, Naman Porwal, Jaipur’s Mehul Gupta, Divyanshu Babel, Kunal Chabbra, Sanket Agrawal, Jaipur’s Shivam Garg, Jodhpur’s Ajitpal. Daksh Jain, Vandan Lodha, Vinit Intodia, Chinmat Jain, Vansh Bhaskar, Maulik Kumar and Mudit Kukerti proceeded in the rounds. The event was organized by Night Fort Chess Academy and All Rajputana Chess Association.Arun Kataria (2nd position) along with Kanishk Narang(3rd position), Chinmay Jain, Purvam Chaturvedi, Udlakshya Raina, Kanishk Pandey and Vinit Intodia grabbed the first 20 positions and Akshi Chatwani stood third in the girls’ category.Besides them, Karanveer Singh Sankhla, Rahul Redia, Harsh Meerchandani, Tanmay Nalwaya, Avdesh Singh Charan, Hardik Dak, Prakhar Chaplot, Aditya Salvi and Chahna Jain gave wonderful performances.

The event was presided by Shatrudhan Bandwal, Vatsalya Yadav organized the event and Gayatri Kataria was the main judge.The winners of the event were as follows. In senior category, Chandrajeet Singh, Sudhakar and Hemendra Makwana were winners; in Under-19 Kapil Dhadich, Vibhav Pamecha and Yogesh Hingad; in under-17 Harshit Chandaliya and Bhavya Suklecha; in under-15 Dhruv Dak, Bhavesh Padiyar and Divyanshu Babel;In under-13 Kunal Chabbra, Yash Mandavariya and Saket Agrawal; in under-11 Devansh Chechani, Pallav Chowdhary and Raj Kumawat; in under-9 Chinmay Jain, Arun Kataria and Kanishk Naarang; in under-7 Prakhar Pathak, Kushal Malkani and Rohit Maheshwari were first, second and third, respectively.Likewise, in female category, Monika Sahu, Parul Rahore, Neha Kumawat, Aachal Dhakad, Hiral Chetwani, Garima Tak, Anisha Jain and Ashita Jain secured positions.All winners were given letters and prizes. In CBSE National Chess Championship held at DAV School, Amritsar, students of St Anthony gave excellent performance. With two wins and one draw, the team secured 14th position.in the championship that held from 18th to 23rd November, the team after 6 rounds defeated DAV Amritsar and The Loren’s Public School, New Delhi and had a draw with Indian School, Dubai. The team secured 5 marks and gained 14th rank.In Individual game, Mudit Babel secured 2.5 marks in the first three rounds but faced defeat in the last two rounds and got 10th place.. The competition was tough as besides Grandmaster Vaibhav Suri, FIDE players with more than 2000 points were a part of the championship.FIDE rated players Mudit Babel (captain), Nikhil Yadav, Yugansh Shukla, International player Manthan Chittora and Kushal Patel participated in the competition. The Under-14 team of MDS Sr. Sec. School secured All India 9th position in CBSE National Chess Championship held at Amritsar, Punjab. the team consisting of Ayush Lodha (captain), Kanishk Pandey, Prabhav Maheshwari, Udlakshy Raina and Saket Agrawal bagged unexpected score of 7 in six rounds after holding the current champions South Point Calcutta on a Draw. Team MDS consisting of players of Class 3 to 8, played wonderfully for 3 draws and 2 wins to secure All India 9th position. Ayush Lodha with 3.5 points, Prabhav Maheshwari with 4 points, Saket Agrawal with 3 points, Udlakya Raina with 3 and Kanishk Pandey with 1 point contributed in the top-10 standings of Team MDS at national platform.
पिनाकल चेस एकेडमी, जयपुर व ऑल राजपूताना शतरंज संघ की मेजबानी में सम्पन्न राज्य स्तरीय ओपन अण्डर-13 शतरंज प्रतियोगिता में लेकसिटी के भावेश पंडियार ने 7 चक्र पश्चात् 6.5 अंक बनाकर प्रतियोगिता में अपाजित रहते हुए खिताब पर कब्जा जमाया। प्रशिक्षक विकास साहू ने बताया कि 11 व 12 अक्टूबर को सम्पन्न इस प्रतियोगिता में कुल 52 खिलाड़ीयों ने हिस्सा लिया। लेकसिटी के और अन्य खिलाड़ी गौतम कटारिया ने 5 अंक बनाकर 8वॉ स्थान हासिल किया।

पिनाकल चेस व ऑल राजपूताना शतरंज संघ की मेजबानी में सम्पन्न हुई स्थानीय लिटिल जेम्स स्कूल श्याम नगर जयपुर में अण्डर-7 स्टेट लेवल ओपन चेस चैम्पियनशिप में ध्रुव अजमेरा (सेन्ट एन्थोनी) का उत्कर्ष प्रदर्शन रहा।
एक दिवसीय इस राज्य स्तरीय ओपन शतरंज प्रतियोगिता में ध्रुव ने 4 चक्र पश्चात् एक जीत व दो ड्रॉ के साथ 2 अंक बनाकर बालक वर्ग में 11वॉ व ओवर ऑल प्रतियोगिता में 13वॉ स्थान हासिल किया वही प्रखर पाठक (डी.पी.एस.) ने बालक वर्ग में 10वॉ व ओवर ऑल प्रतियोगिता में 12वॉ स्थान हासिल किया।
Udaipur players conquer in Chess Tournament at Delhi
Udaipur’s Kapil Dadhich and Chandrajeet Rajawat performed exceptionally well in the 2nd Chess Specific Fide Rated Chess Tournament concluded in Delhi recently.
the tournament was conducted from 18th-21st Aug at Delhi’s Major Dhyanchand Stadium.“After 10 rounds, Kapil scored 7 points and earned 30 points while Chandrajeet Singh Rajawat playing with fide rated players and made 5 points with 1471 rating performance.”
Rajawat will soon get his name listed in fide rating list issued by World Chess Federation. He will be the 62nd fide rated player of the lakecity

इन्डोर स्टेडियम धर्मशाला, हिमाचल प्रदेश में अखिल भारतीय शतरंज महासंघ द्वारा आयोजित 52वीं राष्ट्रीय चैलेन्जर चेस चेम्पियनशीप में लेकसिटी के जाने-माने शतरंज खिलाड़ी राजेन्द्र तेली ने 6.5 अंक बनाकर शानदार प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने हिमाचल के प्रवीण शर्मा, पंजाब के अरविंदरप्रीत सिंह, शुभम शुक्ला, दिल्ली संक्षम दिवान, गुजरात के अश्वीन कुमार चौहान, को हराकर और रेल्वे के फीडे मास्टर पंकज जोशी, सिक्किम के राहुल गौरांग, तमिलनाडू के लक्ष्मीनारायण एम.वी. से बाजी बराबर कर अपनी फीडे रेटिंग में इजाफा किया।गौरतलब है कि यह प्रतियोगिता हिमाचल प्रदेश शतंरज संघ द्वारा 09 से 19 मई धर्मशाला में आयोजित हुई थी।

Rajendra Teli of Udaipur has grabbed 24th position in the International Rating Chess Tournament for 2100 below. The championship was organized under the banner of All India Chess Association.The championship was hosted by Cyber Chess Academy. Teli, who is a member of Chess in Lake City won Rs. 5000 cash prize.the championship was conducted from 28 Nov to 3 Dec. In 10 rounds, Rajendra Teli made 7 points and reached on 24th position.
Rahul Sharma of Udaipur will be the youngest and 50th FIDE rated chess player of Udaipur. Student of The Junior Study, Rahul exhibited an outstanding game in the recently concluded 27th National Under-9 Chess Tournament.the tournaments were conducted from 6-14 Nov at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. While playing with all FIDE rated chess masters, Rahul Sharma grabbed five points and his rating performance was 1248. Rahul Sharma’s name will be updated in the upcoming FIDE Rating list by World Chess Federation.”Rahul is qualified for national level after achieving fourth position in State Level Chess Tournament.It is a matter of great pride and honor for Udaipur that Rahul is the 50th FIDE rated chess player of the city.
The chess masters of Udaipur’s several schools exhibited great talent but missed the first four places in the recently concluded CBSE West Zone Chess Tournament 2013 at Baroda’s Urmi School.Chinmay Jain of St Mary’s School grabbed the Board Prize by earning 4 points after six rounds of the 5th Board.In under-14 male category, St. Anthony’s MDS, CPS, St Mary’s and The Scholar Arena received 9th, 10th, 20, 33rd and 37th place respectively.Likewise in under-19 male category, MDS, St. Anthony’s, CPS, Central Academy (Hiran Magri) got 10th, 11th, 19th and 21st positions respectively.In under-14 female category, St Anthony’s settled on 10th place whereas in Under-19 female, CPS, St. Mary’s and St. Anthony’s students have made 6th, 11th and 13th positions respectively.

The District Level Open Chess tournament concluded today, with Mudit Babel taking home the honors. Managin a stunning victory, he remained unbeaten with 9 points. Babel, a FIDE Rated player was contesting under the ‘Senior’ age group. in the last round Mudit Babel defeated Suraj Sahu, Arpita Jain and Manthan Chittora. Suraj Sahu of Mavli remained runner up with 7.5 points. Udaipur kids put in their best in the National Chess Championship 2012 hosted by Ajmer Chess Association and organized by the Rajputana Chess Association from Sept. 2 to Sept.11.In the competition, Monika Sahu from Rajsthan Mahila Vidhyalaya defeated Rutuja Kapdekar, Tamanna Panwar, Indrajeet Kaur, Shubhani Kapoor and Hinduja Reddy.Shubhani Kapoor conquered Harshita Sharma, Mallika Hada, Indrajeet Kaur, Vaishali Jagtaap and Tamanna Panwar.Whereas, St. Anthony’s Vibhav Pamecha overcame Prithviraj P and Adityaraj Singh, the trio scored 5.5, 5.0, and 3.5 points respectively.

His performance at the National Rapid Chess Competition provided him with the achievement.This makes a total of 44 FIDE rated players from Udaipur . From 6 to 9 January 2012 a FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar was organized in Chennai, India, by the All India Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE. The Lecturers were IA Casto Abundo (PHI), Asian Chess Federation Deputy President and FIDE Lecturer, and IA Prof. R. Anatharam (IND).The lectures were in the English language.Fifty seven (57) people from various parts of India participated in the Seminar and in the examination test held after the lectures. RAJENDRA TELI OF LAKECITY succeeded in the test and he will be awarded a FA Norm, after the approval of the next FIDE Presidential Board.Rishi salvi miss with few Marks.
